TRIP TO EUROTECH’S SWISSTURN/POLYGIM FACTORY
Last month we took a trip to our SwissTurn/Polygim factory where see saw the impressive factory in full production of all the models, from 6 axis up to 11 axis and a bar capacity ranging from 12 mm up to 42 mm. Most notable was the all new technology; we were introduced to the new 65/75 mm machine with revolutionary B-axis technology combining speed with B-axis.
“The factory tour was truly impressive. The factory has 200,000 square feet of machinery being built from the ground up. It was great to see cutting edge technology in production” –Jeff Thomas, Machine Tool Group
The SwissTurn machine delivers lightening fast and efficient production of complex parts using live tools, B-axis and Y-axis. Some of the biggest money making features every model delivers:
• Easy quick change conversion from guide bushing to non-guide bushing • Up to 42 mm capacity on a Swiss machine!! • B-axis cutting to easily process angled features and expand flexibility • Meehanite castings for superior thermal stability and rigidity • Mitsubishi electronics for outstanding performance and maximum usability
Most models are in stock for quick delivery and are combined with Eurotech's local parts, service, and engineering; and to top it off, customers are eligible for Eurotech's legendary FREE lifetime training.
PMPA Industry Trend Reports Optimistic!
(released 3/13/13) ISM reported growth in February in 15 of 18 manufacturing industries, including Fabricated Metal Products, Machinery Transportation Equipment and others that we service. February housing starts climbed 0.8% higher to a 917K annualized start rate. According to Dr. Ken Mayland, “2013 is off to a solid start. Just about all the indications are positive. The number of homes under construction continues to expand (up 2.3% in February, up 27.8&y/y). This means new construction dollars are coming into the economy.”

March Auto Sales Increased 3.4% for Highest Total Since 2007 By BILL VLASIC Published: April 2, 2013
DETROIT — Automakers reported on Tuesday that March sales of new cars and trucks were the highest monthly total in five years, providing more evidence of a sustained turnaround in the industry.
According to Autodata, 1.45 million vehicles were sold during the month, a 3.4 percent improvement over last year, as a strengthening housing market and low interest rates spurred consumers and businesses to replace aging models.
It was the best monthly performance since 2007, executives and analysts said, and it reinforced their sales forecasts for the full year at more than 15 million vehicles.
Turnkey’d Machines
More and more of our customers request their machines to arrive “Turnkey’d” by Eurotech’s factory certified engineers before delivery.
In essence, the machine is delivered with the customer’s part made to print and ready to run.
That’s right! Eurotech will turnkey your part prior to delivering your machine. At this exact time we are pre-engineering parts for the aerospace, medical and gun industries.
In the firearms industry we are setting up carriers, bolts, pistol, and rifle barrels. In the aerospace industry we are pre-engineering connectors and in the medical industry we are pre-engineering hip and knee parts.
A Partnership Made In Heaven
“We have two of Eurotech Trofeo B481 models and we are hoping to get three more! These machines gave us what we were looking for, namely ONE & DONE. We get a finished part with less handling, tool production is a lot faster and of course we got a huge reduction in cycle time”.
– Susan Brader, Co-Owner at BHI
From the politically successful Abigail and John Adams, to the comedic duo George Burns and Gracie Allen to the infamous gangsters Bonnie and Clyde, these American couples’ success and life stories are the stuff of movies and we never tire of reading about them. Whether they're holding hands or ruling the country, these famous couples have played out real-life dramas that have captured national attention. They achieved something that many try to achieve but fail, i.e., a successful working relationship between each other. And that is what we see in a Houston, Texas based precision manufacturing corporation named BHI.
BHI was started in 1971 by Luke Brader with one manual mill and one manual lathe. Luke had to sell his one and only shot gun to pay for the material for his first order that they produced. He purchased his machinery from Rex Supply, a well-known local machinery tool store. He wasn’t dreaming about the American dream; he was doing it. Working hard and focusing on what he was good at – the technical side of the business.
